Original! Good, liked it a lot. Altough I think it needs maybe one more scene in between the kitchen and the final scene..? Way I imagine it, it should be directed and edited in a very "fast" way. Like some fast music videos. I think it would make a good movie. Maybe a small pause before he shoots himself would give it more density.

Didn't really work for me, but I suppose these 60/90 sec films are more reliant on the concept and execution than the script.

I liked it. I think it could work.
I think it would be cool though if he shot a bird or another small animal, then tries to kill more before accidently killing himself.

Hey there.

We went and did a few tests today.

If anyone is intrested, here is the first.

Right click and save as... Geocities is pretty shitty though. Might not stay up for long.

its a good start!

maybe because there was no sound to go with it, the shatter effect seemed slowed-down... this all depends how realistic you want it to look.

I thought the Jimmy character was meant to be 12?

Hey,

Despin and I shot some basic scenes/tests for this short the other day. We've edited some of the footage together (although the story differs considerably from the script above) and I'm sure we'll post something up sometime soon.

We'll get down and dirty with the proper shoot in the next week or so. Thanks for all the positive comments on this and the other stuff Despin has posted on this board.

i don't know how much the tests reflect what you will be ultimately shooting but i think that it has to be more visually interesting for it to work.

When i read the script i thought it could work well but only if it was shot really inventively and quirkily. I saw it as being more cartoon-like. The animated bottle smash was quite good in a surreal way - you could maybe try to exploit that.

despin , I thought the second test was better (as in the glass exploding) - the first test the glass needs to break up into more pieces and also be faster.

Didn't like the fade to black cuts
